How to know depression?

 How to know depression?

Being happy and sad is the natural quality of human beings. But its amount and duration can be different. People naturally feel sad when they lose something, when there is an unpleasant incident, when there is a difficult situation in their life.

It is normal to be depressed for a while, but some people are so overwhelmed by despair and loneliness that they stay depressed for months. Abnormal feelings, thoughts and behavior lasting two weeks or more and having a negative impact on a person's daily life, relationships and responsibilities is called depression.

the reason

Depression can often be caused by psychological, genetic or social factors. Once its effect is on the mind, thinking about it deeply changes the way the mind thinks. Depression can affect children, adolescents and the elderly in all age groups.

Loss of job, divorce, problems at work, serious health problems, family discord, pain of losing someone or not being able to escape from someone's mental pressure can cause depression problem. The condition of childbirth and menstruation in women is also the cause of this. Similarly, not being able to easily accept the change in weather also leads some people to the level of depression.

How to know depression?

It is easy to feel that something has made you sad. But if depression continues to happen every day, it may not be felt. In such cases, not only are you depressed for more than two weeks, but you may also experience unusual physical, emotional and human symptoms. However, some people have been depressed only once in their life and after some time they will recover on their own.

If you are frequently depressed, can't sleep no matter how much you try to sleep at night, have heartburn due to fear of something, don't feel like eating food at all, have no interest in anything or work or have no enthusiasm for anything, then it should be considered depression.

Lack of confidence, physical fatigue and lethargy, lack of sexual excitement, difficulty in maintaining concentration are also symptoms of depression. When a person is depressed, he considers himself unimportant, blames himself for the upheavals happening in his life, and thinks of committing suicide to get rid of it, then it can be understood that the depression has reached a serious state. However, it can be diagnosed by a psychiatrist based on symptoms.

What can be done if you experience depression?

Even if symptoms appear, if you ignore them, daily life becomes difficult. Even a small situation becomes as complicated as a mountain to deal with. In such cases, in order to get out of depression, one can open up problems with close people who have been consumed by one's heart, one cannot express one's feelings with anyone else, or if there is no environment, one can write them down in a diary. When writing, the frustrations in the mind are poured out.

Similarly, exercise also communicates positive energy in the body. Exercising releases hormones like serotonin and testosterone which stabilizes the mind. It stops thoughts that increase depression.

A good night's sleep fills us with positive energy, so we should try to get eight hours of mandatory sleep, try to be close to good friends, stay away from people who are full of negative thoughts, watch and listen to music and inspirational videos. Fun music and inspirational videos help to change the mood of a person and lift the mind out of depression.

If such activities do not have an effect, a psychiatrist can be consulted. Psychiatrist evaluates the symptoms, events, conditions and the treatment process proceeds accordingly. There are two main types of treatment used for depression, medication and therapy. Treatment may vary by person and type of depression. Some may need medication and some may need individual therapy.

However, it may take some time to determine which type of treatment is best. If feelings of suicide or self-harm or harming others arise, immediate hospitalization is required.

What does a 'food inspector' do?  Those who studied food technology, who like the food of different restaurants? They check the quality of what kind of meat the meat shop is selling, whether the vegetables of the vegetable shop are pesticide-free. I would like to make a proposal regarding the hiring of this type of food inspector contract.
