Medical checkup should be done from time to time to improve health. Because there are some diseases, which are detected at that stage where treatment is difficult. So it is better for women to do these 10 tests.






Mammography test


Breast cancer has become a common disease in women, as the risk of this disease is increasing day by day with increasing age. Generally, a breast exam is recommended after the age of 40. But if this problem is genetic, screening should be done from time to time. In this case, a woman can only know whether she has breast cancer or not through a mammography test.







According to a study, about 20 percent of women in the world are struggling with breast cancer. In particular, women under the age of 50 should have a mammogram once a year. If you notice any kind of lump in the breast, unbearable pain, unevenness or abnormal nipple discharge, you should consult a doctor immediately.


Pap smear test


Cervical cancer screening is called pap smear test. If this disease is detected in time, it can be easily treated. After the age of 30, the risk of cancer of the uterus and cervix increases in women. In such a situation, women are advised to have a pap smear test. According to medical science, after reaching the age of 30, women should have a Pap smear test every two years. In this test, a machine speculum is inserted into the vagina and a sample is collected for cervical cells.


After this, these cells are carefully examined with the help of a microscope. The uterus is a part of the female reproductive system where the uterus and vagina meet. Married, in a relationship, sex workers should undergo mandatory examination.


Bone density test


When the bones are weak, they are more likely to break after a slight shock or injury. In this test, the density of the bones of the wrist, spine and hip is measured with a special type of X-ray and their strength is evaluated, so that the bones can be protected from major damage in the future. It provides information about calcium and other minerals in bones. This test should be done by women above 30 years of age. Also, postmenopausal women and women who have had their uterus removed at a young age complain of bone pain. Those taking antipsychotic or steroid medication are advised to undergo this test.


Thyroid


Thyroid is a disease that spreads rapidly in women. It also causes weight gain and hair loss. Thyroid risk increases during pregnancy, hormonal imbalance and menopause. Therefore, women are advised to get a thyroid test if obesity has increased rapidly.




The problem of hypothyroidism is that the eyes become bigger, the heart beats faster, the mind becomes anxious, and the problem becomes weak. Even if such symptoms are seen, the thyroid test should be done.


Hemoglobin test


Hemoglobin is called a 'complex protein'. This protein is found in red blood cells, which contain iron. The main function of hemoglobin is to carry oxygen from the lungs to the tissues of the body. Red blood cells and iron found in hemoglobin work to strengthen the body. Anemia is caused by lack of blood, which people try to cure by taking iron tablets. But pregnant women are advised to have hemoglobin test every three months.


In this test, the level of hemoglobin is measured. In this test, a complete blood test is done by taking a blood sample. The normal range of hemoglobin level in women is 12.1 to 15.1 grams per deciliter and in pregnant women it is 11 to 15.1 grams per deciliter. If this does not happen, consult a doctor immediately.


Hemoglobin test should be done if symptoms such as depression, cold hands and feet, excessive fatigue, yellowing of nails, skin and gums, feeling weak, loss of appetite, dizziness, chest pain, difficulty in breathing are observed.


Iron test


Both men and women start feeling weak due to iron deficiency. Iron deficiency occurs in women due to menstruation, pregnancy and breastfeeding. For this reason, women have less iron than men and feel fatigued quickly while working. Therefore, women should also have an iron test from time to time. It is advisable not to take any iron supplements 12 hours before the iron test. Iron levels change throughout the day. Therefore, it should be tested only in the morning, because the level of iron in the body is highest in the morning. Iron intake is important for women to energize the body and for proper functioning of internal organs and muscles.




About 70 percent of the body's iron is found in hemoglobin in RBCs. The rest of the iron is found in the body's proteins and other tissues. This test checks the amount of iron in the blood. In this, it is found out whether the metabolism of iron is happening properly in the body. Iron is a mineral that is needed to increase hemoglobin. Iron tests are done to check for anemia, hemochromatosis and nutritional problems.


Ovulation test


PCOS is a common disease in women, which affects their ovaries. Those in this woman It is a rapidly growing disease. Due to ovarian cysts, women go through serious conditions like infertility and irregular periods. Its symptoms include unwanted body hair growth, oily skin and headaches. Also, irregular periods or no periods at all, difficulty getting pregnant, weight gain, persistent thinning and hair loss, and oily skin are also common symptoms.


This problem occurs due to hormonal imbalance. In this case, it is important for women, if symptoms of PCOS appear, they should be treated by consulting a doctor.


Skin test


If melanoma i.e. skin cancer is detected at an early stage, the survival rate for the next five years is more than 90 percent. Melanoma skin cancer occurs in the cells of the skin. Symptoms of skin cancer include pain, itching or bleeding, changes in the skin, severe redness, dry or flaky skin, yellowing of the skin, and non-healing sores on the skin.




Skin cancer is one of the most common cancers in the world. Although this can happen to any woman, it is more common in working women. After the age of 25, the risk of melanoma or skin cancer increases in women. The risk of melanoma is highest in women with fair skin. If someone in the family has a medical record of melanoma, they should get a full body skin cancer test once so that they can be treated easily in time.


High blood pressure


There are many differences in blood pressure problems between women and men. According to a research, blood pressure problems are 30 to 40 percent more common in women than in men. Research has shown that women's heart systems work differently than men's. After the age of 30, women with uneven blood pressure should have their heart checked once a year. If the blood pressure is more than 140/90, it is wise to consult a doctor.




High blood pressure causes serious problems like heart disease, stroke and kidney failure. In such a situation, it is necessary for both housewives and working women to check their blood pressure from time to time.


Cholesterol


In women's body, five places such as stomach, thighs, breasts, under the eyes, liver and arms have the most fat. An irregular amount of fat is a symptom of the thyroid, but eating too much fried and fatty food causes cholesterol to accumulate in the arteries, which hinders blood circulation throughout the body. High cholesterol in the body causes many diseases related to the heart. Therefore, it is better for women over 30 to have a blood test and cholesterol test once in five years. If a woman has diabetes or any kidney disease, she should definitely consult a doctor before the test.


This test will detect the balance of cholesterol in the body. If the cholesterol in the body is more than 130, this is a sign of danger.
