New iPhone sales in China are encouraging, up 20 percent in the first 3 weeks
Apple's new series of iPhones has made a great start in the Chinese market. In the first 3 weeks of sales in the Chinese market, sales of the new model iPhone have increased by 20 percent compared to the previous version, according to a Counterpoint report.
Apple and Huawei's new phones began selling on the same day in China on September 20. This also shows the intense competition between smartphone brands in China, which is the world's largest smartphone market.
Apple has been losing its market share in China recently due to domestic smartphones from local brands.
According to Counterpoint, sales of the iPhone 16 series have been high in China. Among them, the attraction towards the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models has been the highest. Sales of the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max have been 44 percent higher than the same model of the 15th generation iPhone.
Due to the high sales of the latest version of the iPhone in the Chinese market, overall iPhone sales have decreased by 2 percent compared to last year.
The main reason for this is the decline in sales of older iPhone series and increased competition from Huawei's Mate and full series smartphones.
